rough and tumble in the garden

Our Ofsted report 2006 (opens in a new window) praises the high quality of teaching and standards maintained by the staff. This report also indicates the wide range of materials, activities and facilities at Hunsdon House.

Many of our toys are made of natural materials

Ours was one of the first custom-built nurseries in the 1920's and in keeping with the philosophy of Freiderich Froebel the children are brought into contact with the natural world at every opportunity. Many of their toys are made of wood and every room has windows on to the garden.

The large windows look out on to the garden making the rooms light and bright

The rooms are light and bright and the children are always surrounded by reminders of nature. We feel that a combination of free play and structured activities provides the best learning situation to cover each child's needs.

Age Range

Children are accepted between the ages of two and five. After an initial settling in period it is expected that children will attend every morning. If you compare with other providers you will see that our rates are extremely competitive!
