When the children arrive they are individually welcomed. Parents are encouraged
to settle their children in if needed. Children are free to choose their own
activities some of which have been set out by the teachers. These could include
printing, sticking, playdough, puzzles, duplo or a group project such as a
large collage. The older children learn weaving in the afternoons and make a little piece of woven art to take with them when they leave for school.

Before their mid-morning snack the children will also have outside play.

At eleven milk is provided and children bring their own snack. At this time the children are divided into an older and younger group and remain in these groups for story, singing and discussion time.

We learn to appreciate books in circle time

This group time is also used to give children more experience of numbers, letters, colours and shapes. The four year olds are encouraged to stay on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 14.30 for teaching which is designed to prepare them better for primary school.

Short European language sessions (French, German or Italian) are offered in the afternoon at no extra cost.

It includes a time when children all sit down together and paint or work on their own individual early writing and number work books.
